SUNYCONNECT LMS PROGRESS REPORT
+ Oswego STP!  Oswego went live with the SUNYConnect LMS (ALEPH500)
        on July 3, 2001.
+ Tompkins Cortland Community College's new switch to production
        (STP) date is August 29, 2001.
+ A Binghamton full test database due July 16th is now scheduled
        for July 23.
+ OLIS, Ex Libris, ITEC and SUNY Oswego held a conference call today
        to finalize the ALEPH configuration for a multi-campus system.
+ The Binghamton production machine is scheduled to be installed
        and configured with the ALEPH software on July 30-31.

SUNYCONNECT DATABASES / ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
+ Free training for new SUNYConnect databases (ScienceDirect and
        Gale's OneFile) is being offered.  To register, go to
        http://tc.suny.edu and Click on the link "Register for
        SUNYConnect Classes".
+ The SUNY Library Contracts Advisory Team (SLiCAT) is working on
        an analysis of electronic resources, characterizing the
        core resources and those that are more specialized.  This
        analysis will be used to help select future SUNYConnect
        electronic resources.

ADDITIONAL SUNYCONNECT NEWS
+ SUNY Albany's gain is SUNY System Administration's loss --
        Associate Provost for Technology Services, Ms. Christine Haile
        has been appointed interim Chief Information Officer at UAlbany.
+ OLIS is interviewing candidates for the Library System Training
        Specialist position that was recently advertised.
+ OLIS staffer Michelle Moorhead accepted an invitation from SUNY
        Binghamton to work with them on ALEPH configuration issues.
        The goal is to establish guidelines/standards for future
        implementers of the SUNYConnect LMS.
