SUNYCONNECT LMS PROGRESS REPORT
+ Group3 data extracts (for Purchase and Sullivan) have been
        provided to Ex Libris.
+ University at Buffalo has decided to renew their SUNYConnect
        LMS implementation efforts.  Welcome back UB!
+ Progress on the SUNYConnect union catalog and other consortial
        aspects of the SUNYConnect LMS has been slower than
        expected.  A test database (union catalog prototype) was
        created at the end of August.
+ Natalie Sturr, in her work for OLIS, is focusing on procedures
        for and testing of ALEPH software upgrades.

SUNYCONNECT DATABASES / ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
+ The following SUNYConnect databases were renewed for FY02-03:
        FirstSearch Base Package, Gale OneFile and AP MultiMedia
        Archive.  Other current SUNYConnect resources will be
        considered for renewal as their agreements near expiration.
+ SUNY Library Contracts Advisory Team (SLiCAT) has finalized its
        review of "core" SUNYConnect electronic resources.  The
        team will make its recommendations to the SUNYConnect
        Advisory Council on October 8th. S.A.C. will then consider
        how much additional revenue will be required to procure
        these resources (for SUNY-wide access).
+ OCLC provided the SLiCAT a web-based demonstration of their
        "Rights and Resolution" service.  This service is designed
        to provide a secure, single source for electronic resource
        rights and linking information.

ADDITIONAL SUNYCONNECT NEWS
+ "Libraries and Nylink Deliver" announced.  LAND is the official
        SUNYConnect delivery service.
+ Congratulations to Genesee Community College.  The recently
        renovated Alfred C. O'Connell Library is featured on the
        September cover of Choice.

        Schmitt, wife of SLN's Harry Cargile was an architect for
        the project.
