Ex Libris and the ALEPH world have lost a good friend. James Steenbergen, Director of ALEPH Support Services died in February of this year. James was well-liked and thought of for his sense of humor, for his knowledge of ALEPH and Ex Libris and for his clear orientation towards service to the customer.

ALEPH user meetings will not be the same. Many will miss James' presence, remembering fondly, for instance his role as master of ceremony for awards and presentations to the ALEPH and Ex Libris community.

The Office of Library and Information Services and SUNYConnect as a whole extends its sympathy and link to the Urbana Free librarycondolences to James' friends and family. We miss him mightily.
