SUNYConnect LMS (V.18)
The OLIS, ITEC and Ex Libris have installed ALEPH v.18 (in a test environment).
It is projected that the actual campus upgrades will begin next year, perhaps
starting in first quarter 2008.
SUNYConnect LMS (Managed Services)
Along with significant other ALEPH support activities, many OLIS staffers are
working with the “managed services” campuses (Clinton, Delhi, Niagara, Purchase,
Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester).
SUNYConnect LMS (Syndetic Solutions)
Campus-specific codes have been established for the Syndetic Solutions’
components (cover image, table of contents, etc). This will allow for
SUNY-wide and campus-specific use statistics
Electronic Resources (EBSCO)
The per article download cost for SUNYConnect’s use of those EBSCO databases was $0.06 (6 cents)  (July 2006 – June 2007).
Electronic Resources (ScienceDirect)
The SUNYConnect agreement for ScienceDirect expires at the end of 2009. In
September, the SUNY Collections and Access Council, university center/HSC
library directors and OLIS representatives discussed possible pricing models
if the agreement is renewed. After examining a number of models, the group focused their recommendation
on one that is based on actual usage of the resource. That recommendation
has been brought to both S.A.C. and SCLD.
Electronic Resources (ScienceDirect and 360Link)
Serials Solutions has created a SUNYConnect-specific "knowledgebase" for
ScienceDirect. The "SUNY Science Direct Titles" collection strives to be
an accurate definition of SUNYConnect's version of ScienceDirect and to
allow for proper linking to that full-text.
Some changes have already been made to this set of parameters, based on
input from the SUNY library community. The OLIS will send a new data file
to Serials Solutions on a quarterly basis (and as it is available from
Elsevier).
Electronic Resources (Annual Reviews)
The OLIS is coordinating SUNY renewals/orders for the package of Annual
Review publications. Current pricing is available. Contact John Schumacher
