Springer e.book Collection Offer
The publisher has provided more flexible terms for their current e.book offer to SUNY. This is specific to SUNY institutions not in the university center or health science center sectors. The publisher's offer is available in the OLIS Documents area.

Alumni access to SUNYConnect databases?
SUNY alumni access to two EBSCO databases (Academic Search Alumni Edition and Business Source Alumni Edition) is now available. If you have not already done, please let OLIS know about your campus' plans in regards to this potential new service for your alumni.

Union Catalog
At the present, the SUNY Union Catalog is running on unsupported versions of Aleph, OS, and Oracle. SUNY is the only Ex Libris customer that has this type of union catalog configuration. Over the past year, the OLIS staff has informally reviewed various options to better understand what products are on the market. Rather than upgrade to the next version of Aleph, OLIS asked for input from SAC on their next step.

On motion made by Cristina, seconded by Lynne and carried, it was agreed that the OLIS staff will explore several different options to replace the Union Catalog. [S.A.C. minutes - August 20, 2009]
