The State University of New York and Elsevier B.V. have reached agreement on new ScienceDirect licensing. The agreement provides for continuing access to the important research tool: the full-text of approximately 1800 scholarly journals currently publishing, with ongoing access to backfiles of those and approximately 400 other journals.

The term of the agreement runs through 2014.

link to Science DirectAll SUNYConnect libraries (with the exception of two) have committed to contibuting to the cost of the ScienceDirect resource. Our students, faculty and staff thank you for making access to the primary scientific, technical and medical journals possible.

In addition, funds committed by SUNY System Administration have increased substantially. Previously about 14% of ScienceDirect costs were paid by "SUNY Central". That commitment is 20% for the renewed agreement.
