Ed Rivenburgh Honored by ALAEd Rivenburgh
Congratulations are in order for Ed Rivenburgh (Project Director, Information Delivery Services  Geneseo logo and recently retired from SUNY Geneseo). Ed is the recently announced winner of the 2011 Virginia Boucher/OCLC Distinguished ILL Librarian Award (from ALA's Reference and User Services Division). The award "recognizes an individual for outstanding professional achievement, leadership and significant contributions to the fields of interlibrary loan and document delivery."

Stephen B. Luce Library (Maritime) Honored
The library at SUNY Maritime has been named one of the "Great Libraries of the World". The designation, by American Libraries is in part for Stephen B. Luce Library's collection strengths in marine engineering, naval architecture, marine transportation, nautical charts, oceanography, transportation economics and management, and meteorology.

SUNY Librarians Receive ACRL AwardMichelle and Kim
Michelle Costello and Kimberly Davies Hoffman (Geneseo) have been designated as the 2011Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Instruction Section (IS) Innovation award winners. They are being honored for their work on the Library Instruction Leadership Academy. "LILAC is truly an innovative contribution to advancing pedagogy in information literacy and instruction librarianship.” Congratulations Michelle and Kim!

The winners also gave credit to their SUNY colleagues involved in LILAC - Justina Elmore (Geneseo), Lisa Forrest (Buffalo State), Nicki Lerczak (Genesee CC), Jennifer Little (Brockport), Nicole Menarchem (Geneseo) Logan Rath (Brockport), Alice Wilson (Monroe CC), Barbara Kobritzlink to LILAC(TC3), Dana Longley (Empire State), Stephan Macaluso (New Paltz).
